It is easy to think that talented children are always at their maximum. However, a recent study has shown that better-able children benefit from explanations and training as well.Psychologist Bart Vogelaar and his staff enrolled 522 children between 5 and 10 years of age. The performances of children who are particularly capable and of average ability have been analyzed separately. They had to solve a dynamic geometric problem that required their analogy.
